Chass and her mother have been moving to new cities and assuming new names as long as she can remember. The other weird thing is that she is not allowed to sing or listen to music. Then on the night of her sixteenth birthday, her mother disappeared. Later her car was found out by an old, rotting house some blood was found in the cellar along with a wallet full of ID cards. The sheriff threatens to put Chass in a foster home in six days if her mom doesn't come back.
